A.S. Watson has and will continue to invest in our internal warehouse management system, supply chain software and WH automation solutions to improve logistic competence across our business units globally.
These aim to bring about increased profitability through distribution efficiencies and the application of best practice across the whole supply chain. As the pace of technology investments increases it is necessary to provide Group expertise in the roll-out and training of these investments to ensure speedy and smooth implementations.
The role will involve regular travel across Europe to visit our business units (approx. 25%), usually for 1-2 nights with occasional longer trips required such as for ‘go live’ projects.

A typical day in this role includes:

  • Assist project managers on supply chain projects including small- and large-scale automation projects.
  • Provide project, testing and training support to the business unit teams during systems implementation.
  • Provide training to reinforce best practice and compliance to ROS standards in the areas of Supply Chain and Logistics during system implementations and ongoing operations.
  • Assist in formulating & documenting Supply Chain best practice in conjunction with Group Supply Chain Management.
    Become a ‘superuser expert’ on our internally developed system and assist business units with any 1st line queries and change requests.
  • Help co-ordinate the ongoing development of our warehouse management system to become more efficient and productive, including where it supports our online order fulfilment operations.
  • Support the creation of functional specifications and documentations.
  • Create and review JIRA tickets/change requests.

  • You enjoy learning and building your expertise’s of our internal WMS system but also other supply technologies
  • You are proactive, self-disciplined and able to work under remote supervision.

What you’ll need:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with a Supply Chain specialist, Logistics provider or similar department of an FMCG organization, most likely in Supply Chain development.
  • Past experience of working with supply chain systems software and technology as a key user.
  • Experience of being part of project team implementing technology solutions would be desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, any additional languages to English would be advantageous.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and able to work under remote supervision.
  • Happy to travel across Europe on a regular basis.
