Role Purpose:
This position will be under Group Sustainability team to work
closely with ASW Asian business units’ (BUs) local Sustainability Committees to
guide them on developing and implementing long-term strategy and plans aligned
with ASW Group Sustainability roadmap. The talent will monitor progress against
their goals and Group’s, and to provide appropriate training and support where
required.
A typical day in this Role:
- Conducting environmental and social market research, including reviews on existing legislation in ASW markets, to help ensure ASW Sustainability strategy is up-to-date
- Supporting the review of data accuracy submitted by ASW business units during internal ESG reporting cycles, and guiding the business units where needed
- Supporting the submission of key metrics to organisations joined by ASW Group, such as the New Plastic Economy and the Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil
- Supporting the preparation of ESG metrics provided to ASW’s holding, CK Hutchison, for the HK Stock exchange

Success will depend on:
- Holding a Bachelor degree in Sustainability and/or Business, with 10 years work experience in driving sustainability change in multi-national companies. Candidate with Master degree will be an advantage.
- Having strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise tasks to ensure best use of resources
- Having a sound knowledge of the HKEx and TCFD reporting frameworks, the circular economy and the science-based targets for greenhouse gas emissions
- Ability to facilitate and manage sustainability innovations and projects, animate internal working groups
- You are a good communicator in both written and spoken English
