Role Purpose:
This is an international role supporting the strategic growth of the Watsons Own Brand product portfolio across Asia, focusing on the branding and communication of Watsons Own Brand Health and Beauty products, as well as the brand management of Key Focus Brands—to meet customers’ needs and put a smile on customers’ faces.
A typical day in this Role:
Brand Ownership & Execution
- Partner with the Brand Marketing Manager to act as the brand owner for designated brands/products, driving customer‑focused brand strategies and execution across O+O (Offline + Online) touchpoints.
- Develop insight‑led marketing toolkits, training materials, and brand guidelines, informed by consumer insights, performance data, and market trends to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with Asia/Eastern Europe Business Units, Product Development, agencies, and regional stakeholders to deliver seamless, integrated execution—reinforcing collaboration as our way of working.
- Consolidate program performance data across markets and channels, translating results into actionable, data‑driven insights to optimise future initiatives and improve customer impact.
Packaging Leadership
- Lead the end‑to‑end packaging development process with the Product Development team, from concept and naming to artwork, ensuring packaging delivers clear, customer‑relevant value propositions both in‑store and online.
- Gatekeep timelines, quality, and execution across internal and external designers, applying a structured and scientific approach to ensure speed, accuracy, and consistency.
- Ensure packaging reflects brand positioning, sustainability goals, and competitive differentiation, leveraging shopper insights and category benchmarks to strengthen O+O shelf and digital visibility.
Market Intelligence
- Leverage category trends, consumer insights, and performance data to develop customer‑first positioning, briefs, and brand strategies.
- Monitor competitive landscape and shopper behaviour across offline and online channels, using data‑driven analysis to maintain category leadership and identify growth opportunities.

- Solid work experience in product or retail marketing. Experience in the retail industry or advertising agency is an advantage.
- Academic Background in Marketing or Business-related disciplines.
- Capability in managing advertising and packaging agencies to deliver business needs in Asia.
- Good organizational skills and experience in meeting tight deadlines.
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
