Role Purpose:
The Head of People will play a critical role in driving our business forward by overseeing and leading our People team of more than 10 members. A true Business Partner and change agent to bring a fresh perspective and innovative ideas to enhance our people practices.
A typical day in this Role:
- Business Partner Leadership: Provide strategic guidance and act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, partnering with them to align people strategies with business objectives. Drive organizational effectiveness, talent management, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Resourcing: Lead the Resourcing team in attracting and selecting top talent. Develop effective recruitment strategies, ensure efficient processes, and enhance the employer brand to attract high-quality candidates.
- Reward Team Management: Oversee the Reward Team to design and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs aligned with industry standards.
- Performance Management: Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and recognition programs.
- People Development Strategy: Guide the People Development team in designing and executing comprehensive learning and development plans. Foster a culture of continuous learning, talent development, and succession planning to build a high-performing organization.
- Cultural Transformation Leader: Take a proactive leadership role in championing and driving cultural transformation. Inspire and guide teams through major change initiatives, embed desired values and behaviours, and ensure alignment across all levels to cultivate an agile, adaptive, and inclusive organization.
- HR Analytics and Insights: Leverage data-driven insights to shape decision-making and optimize HR practices. Utilize analytics to spot trends, anticipate needs, and deliver actionable recommendations that strengthen organizational effectiveness.

- Proven Experience: Solid and progressive experience in HR leadership roles, with a focus on business partnering and driving organizational change within the retail industry or a similar fast-paced environment.
- Strategic Mindset: Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR strategies with organizational goals. Proven track record of developing and implementing innovative HR initiatives that drive business results.
- Change Management Expertise: Demonstrated experience in leading and managing organizational change initiatives. Ability to inspire and engage stakeholders at all levels to drive a culture of change and continuous improvement.
- Team Leadership: Exceptional leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams. Strong coaching and mentoring abilities to foster growth and professional development.
- Collaboration and Influencing: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in HR analytics and data-driven decision-making. Ability to analyze complex information, identify trends, and provide strategic insights to inform HR strategies.
